What Causes Intermittent Pain In The Legs?

Can be due to many causes.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The intermittent pain in the legs can be due to-
1. Calf muscle strain and tear - Usually due to overwork and overstretching of the muscles. Recent increase in leg exercises may cause these. Gradual increase in exercise and pain killers with mild anti inflammatory drugs can help in reducing the symptoms.
2. Osteoarthritis- age related degeneration and low levels of calcium and vitamin D3.
3. Muscle ischaemia- associated with diabetes usually. There is acute pain associated with it.
4. Deep vein thrombosis- comes last among the list of probable diagnosis.
You may get the initial physical examination, relevant tests and treatment done under care of 'Orthopaedician'.

I am sorry to say that your answer does not address my question. It is more generic and not specific to my question. I was expecting you to advise any specific tests that I need to undergo for better understanding of the problem and suggest a remedy but to the contrary its just a general knowledge answer.
Blood test and color doppler will help in diagnosis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
I am sorry for not suggesting the appropriate tests to rule out the abovesaid causes of the calf pain. You need to get your serum CPk levels and electrolyte levels evaluated. Color doppler of the calves will help in ruling out the thrombosis.
Hope my answer is helpful.
