Question: I have a dentist appointment on tuesday but wanted to ask a Doc. My cheeks feel sore i believe its the Salvary Glands. Is there something i should be scared about or is it common to some people. They've felt like that on and off for bout month and half when i eat or chew gum.

Brief Answer:
Could be cheek biting

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for writing in.

If cheek become sore on eating then it could be due to cheek biting due to sharp cusps. In such case you go for clinical examination of teeth followed by grinding of teeth. If you have any habit of tobacco chewing or smoking then it could also cause such changes & may cause malignancy, you need to quit it as early as possible.
In case you experience increased or decreased salivation then you may suspect salivary gland involvement.

You need not worry at all.
Consult dentist & go for complete clinical evaluation of teeth.

Hope I answered your query

Wishing you good health

Yeah its not the inside it feels like the parotid Gland infront of my ear. Like when u eat sour candy that tingling feeling in your cheek thats where it feels sore . And my mouth feels dry often after i notice this. I drink alot of water atleast 8-9 16oz bottles a day urine is clear or light tint. I have bad anxiety i just scared because i look up what it is and it has all these cancers, diabetes and illnesses that show up from possible causes and it flips me out
