What Causes Intermittent Stabbing Pain In Left Arm And Increased Heart Rate?

Question: For the last twelve to fourteen hours I have had an intermittent, light stabbing pain, very localized, in my left arm about three inches up from inside the elbow. Simultaneously, but not every time the arm stabs, there is a shooting, fleeting pain in or below my left breast. No other symptoms are occurring. I am a 55 yr old, sedentary male. One week ago, for 24 hours, I had a heart rate increase, that at times went to 100-122bpm. I feel fine other than this very localized pain, but it is causing me to think precautionary.
