The fact that it is still sore would suggest that there could be some infection in the wound.
Ideally, you should go to the operating Surgeon and take his advice of the best course of action. He would be the best person to advice as he has done the surgery and has the opportunity to examine you.
I usually check for evidence of infection and usually manage with antibiotics like Tab Augmentin 625mg thrice a day along with anti-inflammatory medicines like Ibuprofen or Calpol thrice a day. Both for 5 to 7 days depending on the patients response. Also, it would be prudent to avoid exercise and give rest to the part and keep it clean.
Neosporin is good - you can continue that.
