What Causes Itching And Bites All Over Body?

Question: Good morning, my question is this; about four weeks ago my wife started with itching and bites all over her body and when scratches she gets a rash, then ointment smeared vitacilina, sometimes alcohol rubs. But this happens only at night after two in the morning. During they day feels nothing. We went to ask a pharmacist and gave her benadryl allergy, but did'n work.
Brief Answer:
Urticarial reaction
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
It seems that your wife is suffering from urticarial rash. Since it appears when in bed it might be related to local heat reaction or physical stimuli.Dermographism will confirm it.Low-sedating H1 antihistamines such as cetirizine or levocetirizine are effective and generally used first.Hydroxyzine in dosages beginning at 40 mg daily have proven effective when H1 antihistamines fail.
The addition of an H2 antagonist such as cimetidine, ranitidine, or famotidine in conventional dosages may add benefit when H1 antihistamines are inadequate.
