What Causes Itching And Rashes On Body Of An Infant?
Question: Hi,
I have 3 months old girl baby(2nd baby). For the past 3 days, i have itching and rashes all over my body (face, arms, legs, ears, neck, etc). My doctor prescribed Okacet for 3 days and i didn't breastfeed at that time. But now again after 2 days itching and rashes continues. I ate brinjal yesterday. Is it b'cos of that or what? Can i breastfeed while taking this medicine? Can I breastfeed while having this problem? I checked my sugar level with One Touch Ultra, it was normal (PP: 131). Pl. advice

Brief Answer:
Continue breast feeding

Hi
Welcome to healthcare-Magic

Dear Ms,
Being a mother myself , I understand your concern and apprehension.
You can continue breastfeeding even on being on Okacet. It is safe in lactation. Exclusive breast feeding on demand has to be continued till 6 months and is not to be stopped.
Brinjal or any vegetarian food is unlikely to cause any rash.
Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.
Take Care
