Brief Answer:
Use any pain management medications he usually takes for it

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. in such cases you can use the usual pain management medication the individual usually takes in situations where pain arises. So you can give your son any pain management medication you usually give him when he complains of pain, oral tablets (e.g. ibuprofen, acetaminophen, diclofenac, etc.). Whatever suits him and he is used to.

Best to prevent strenuous physical activity for a while, at least until the pain is no more. I hope he experiences a rapid and complete recovery. Please do not hesitate to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
