What Causes Knee Pain And Problem Walking In Child?
Question: Hello , my 2 yr old has trouble walking in the morning after sleeping, complains of a sore knee and walks on the ball of his foot for an hour or so till it wears off.
We brought him to hospital and Orthopedics and they did the full range of tests/ bloods/x ray & MRI on spine, hips pelvis and knee and all came back clear. He had osteomyelitis in his right hip last year but this was also perfect now.
Just wondering is there another speciality we should be looking at or what could it be as we were not given any indication by Orthopedics.

Brief Answer:
To consider Scurvy
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day,
Dear Ms,
Possibility of Scurvy or Vitamin C deficiency needs to be considered in children who have painful walking and decreased movement of Knee or refusal to flex or extend the knees.
I would suggest you to get a assessment from either Pediatrician or Pediatric Surgeon for further assessment.
It would be helpful if you could provide me with the radiological images of knee.
Awaiting your response
Take Care
