Brief Answer:
Will want to rule out gout.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM,

From your post,I will want to rule out gout (an inflammatory joint disease and a form of arthritis) by checking blood uric acid level on fasting sample.

You might be already predisposed to gout and the joint pain episode in the morning could be triggered by your alcohol intake.

Meanwhile,I will suggest you to take anti-inflammatory and pain killer (like ibuprofen or naproxen) with plenty of water for symptomatic relief.

Drinking excess water will flush out the circulating excess uric acid through urine by kidneys, thus relieving from the joint pain.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Dr.Sandip Kabra
