What Causes Lack Of Energy, Severe Headache And Dizziness In Children?
Question: My daughter is 14. She recently has had several episodes where she has lack of energy, severe headache., dizziness , slight nausea feeling, and tingling down her arm. What could it be? She contributed her severe headache and dizziness to bright lights at the school dance last night. Should I be alarmed? Thanks
Brief Answer:
Possibility of migraine headache
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
This may be a presentation of migraine headache.
For prevention of such episodes timely food, proper sleep is required. Avoid too much coffee, tea, bright lights.
Medication are also available for prophylaxis if episodes are frequent and disabling even after preventive measures.
For infrequent pain, only pain killers may be sufficient.
Visit and consultation to a neurologist will be helpful.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
