What Causes Left Knee To Constantly Pop And Grind?

? Ligament INjury
Detailed Answer:
Good evening
Thank you for writing on health care magic
Well the sort of symptoms you are describing doesnt fit into the bone problem, but it is probably due to a ligament tear. Considering your age and being actively involved into physical activities, one thing i would like to know if your joints are hypermobile, that is you are able to almost touch your forearm with the thumb or when you bend forward you can touch the floor. This is a common problem and people with joint hypermobility are more prone to trauma. If your GP hasnt examined that part, you can ask him to do it for you.
As for the knee popping which has been going on for long, i believe it is due to Ligament injury. X ray wont show soft tissue. What you can ask your gp is to recommend an MRI. IF we are dealing with a ligament injury of Grade III or Grade IV, it is possibility it will need a repair. I guess you can see an orthopaedic once you get an MRI done. It will save time and will directly help him to come to a conclusion.
Hope the information was useful
