Question: Hi my son is 8. He has for the last one hour been complaining of pain in the left abdomen. We are catching a flight in the next two hrs.
The medico gave him cyclopam suspension. The pain comes in spasms. He tried to pass bowels but could not.

Brief Answer:
Possible Bowel Colic

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM
Thank you for the query
I understand your concern
Well pain in left side is usually bowel colic either due to some infection or severe constipation at times.
Other common possibility is ureteric stone related pain or colic which is usually very severe needing injectable to control pain and associated with loin pain, urinary symptoms.
Well from what you have described looks like some intestinal infection, it's ok to give cyclopam.
Carry with you some strong pain killer syrup like ibuprofen if pain persists.
Well catching a long duration flight can be risky sometimes if pain recurrs on-board.
Hope this answers your query
Wish him a speedy recovery
