What Causes Left-sided Fuzzy Feeling In Head?

default
Posted on Fri, 22 May 2015
Question: Hi,
I'm 32 and the last couple of weeks I've been getting an on and off fuzzy feeling on the left of my head at the front. I lift heavy weights and have had some back and siatica issues recently as well. Could this be related? I'm worried I've burst a vessel or something more sinister as a typical man! Lol

Please tell some details-

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

If you would have presented to me as an outpatient with this medical history,I would have asked you the following details, before arriving at a clinical conclusion-
1)What is the duration of a typical fuzzy episode?
2)What is the frequency of these episodes?(everyday, once in a week or fortnightly--likewise).
3)What do you exactly feel like in a typical fuzzy episode? Please describe the episode in a bit detail.
4)Any other past medical history?

Of course,we have an option of getting a brain imaging like CT scan or MRI of Brain to look out for any intracranial abnormality, but it is always better to have a clinical diagnosis in mind, before ordering any investigation.

Please follow up with details so that I may answer your query in a better way.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,

it can be a few minutes or last hours. Its not pain or dizziness. Its almost a numb/tinngling feeling. It can be a few days in a row, then disapear and then cone back. I started wearing my glasses agin when at my desk at wirk yesterday and was fine all day, but this morning have it on a off again. As i said already i have had back problems and it does seem to come on when i excersise. Its not painfull ,... Its moe annoying! r

Brief Answer:
This is unrelated to back issues and sciatica.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up and providing further details.

Surely,it is not related to your back issues or sciatica.
It may just be due to anxiety as anxiety is the commonest cause of such symptoms.I suggest you to start doing mental relaxation exercises/meditation/Yoga on regular basis and even if then,it does not improve within a week, please undergo a CT scan of Brain with contrast,to rule out anything serious within.

Hope that I have answered your query. If you have some follow up questions,I shall be glad to answer else, please close the thread-rate it and write a review as your rating will be of help to me.

Please keep in touch as I would like to track your developments.
