Question: Left sided pain under edge of rib cage radiating to back, one spot in kidney area. Never free of pain, worse after eating. If I fall asleep the pain goes away but returns with activity. Because of continuous pain have become more inactive to avoid the pain when doing house work, and not knowing what could be causing it.

Had surgery for aortic aneurysm and open heart withing the last 10 years.

?Adhesive and Ischemic pain? post- Repair of Aortic Aneurysm !!

Detailed Answer:
Brief Ans-? Adhesive and Ischemic pain ? post- Repair of Aortic Aneurysm !!

Hi Dear !! Thanks for your query to HCM.
Based on facts of your query -Your left sided pain is mostly due to intestinal obstruction or Intestinal Ischemia.
I would suggest you to add-
-Anti-spamodics like Bentyl Tab
-Tab Velzo D-for accompanied GERD

Consult your Vascular Surgeon for the Ischemia due to Aortic Anuerysmal surgery.
Get CT Scan with Contrast angio for the same.
Rule out Bony causes with Orthopaedic's Second Opinion on CT Vertebrae.
Also rule out Renal cause from Urologist's work up.
Hope this would help you to plan further treatment to resolve you left sided pain under rib cage.

Welcome for any further query in this regard to Me, 24x7.
