Question: I took out my nuvaring earlier, after a lot of struggle. I managed to pull it loose and now I'm bleeding lightly. This, was my first month back on the nuvaring after two years off. This is the first time I've ever had a problem. What should i do? YYYY@YYYY

Brief Answer:
For how long have you been bleeding/spotting?

Detailed Answer:
HI and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this bleeding that you have reported. I have reviewed this information fully and it is suggestive of possible trauma when trying to take off the ring all by yourself. I will suggest that you continue with pads. However, should this persist beyond a week, I recommend you get a doctor’s appointment for examination. This should be an OBGYN.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
