Question: This afternoon, after having a very light lunch, my eyes went a little blurry, with a criss cross pattern showing in my eyes. I also had difficulty pronouncing word written on a page. My solution was to eat a few pretzels, pop a couple teaspoons of sugar, and chew a couple aspirins. The symptoms lasted about 30-45 mins., and eventually disappeared. Diabetes?

Brief Answer:
Need examination & Ivestigation

Detailed Answer:
Hi friend
Welcome to Health Care Magic

     It is not a picture of Diabetes…. Very low or very high sugar values in a known diabetic could cause a similar situation… but recovery is not so soon
     The description is highly suggestive of TIA – Transient Ischemic Attack… temporary reduction or pause in the blood supply to a part of the brain. Appropriate treatment demands accurate diagnosis. And that demands examination; probably investigation too;
      GET EXAMINED – preferably by a Neurologist. You may need investigation like MRI brain and/or MRA (MRI Angiography) to delineate the blood vessels. They can be done together in the same sitting…. The aim of investigation is to detect any narrowing of the blood vessels (neck and brain) to modify treatment based on the result… and prevent future recurrence. Prognosis is generally excellent in such situations

Good luck
God bless you

I'm taking the following meds: Coreg, Micardis, Aspirin, Diclofenac & Crestor. Any side efffects or interaction that would cause the symptoms. They occurred about every 3-5 weeks over the last 5-6 months, usually after I haven't eaten lunch. What's the usual diagnosis & treatment
