What Causes Loss Of Memory And Pain In Neck, Shoulder And Legs?

Question: Hallo Dr., due to my imbalance, pain and pressure in head. Also neck, shoulder, leg pains. Unsteady gait. Intermittent loss of immediate memory and vocabulary problems at times. With all these symptoms I'm thinking that I'm having problems with my Hydrocephalus Shunt since these symtoms are the same before I had the Shunt. I asked my Internist for 30 yrs. to do an MRI, he agreed. Results show XXXXXXX Fingers suggestive for Multiple Sclerosis. Last week he performed a Spinal Tap and was negative for O Bands. He suggested for me to go back to UCDavis Medical Center, only 45miles north of us. So, I would like your opinion that, with positive results on MRI and negative result for Spinal Tap can I still have MS with all these symtoms? I would appreciate and respect your opinion and explanation how that can then be still positive for me to have MS. Thank you very much!
Brief Answer:
Not possible
Detailed Answer:
Dear
I am sorry for the symptoms you are suffering.
Theoretically, in patients with negative O bands, multiple sclerosis is excluded.
In my opinion you should be focused on metabolic disorder such as vitamin B12 deficiency perhaps or other metabolic disorder affecting the brain.
Hope my answer will help you.
