What Causes Loss Of Voice, Swollen Taste Buds Along With Bumps

default
Posted on Tue, 1 Dec 2015
Question: I lost my voice 4 days ago & I have large bumps on my tongue at the back of my mouth...possibly swollen taste buds. My family all had colds & I thought I was getting it, but no one else lost their voice. I've been drinking lots of hot tea with honey, cinnamon & lemon. Everyone else is on the mend, but I'm staying pretty much the same.

Brief answer....relax as there is nothing to worry
Detailed answer...
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern,
You are suffering from laryngitis which is inflammation of vocal cords caused by cold virus. It normally takes 7-10 days to become all right.
Treatment involves....
Drinking plenty of hot drinks
Avoiding cold drinks
Avoiding smoking
Avoid speaking as much possible
Avoid clearing your throat as it may irritate your vocal cords.
You should be all right in next 4-5 days.
In case your symptoms don't resolve in two weeks then consult your doctor although that situation wouldn't arise, hopefully.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
