Brief Answer:
Needs detailed investigations.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
A weight loss of 25 pounds in last 2 months is a matter of concern. It is not always associated with a serious problem but the possibilities need to be ruled out. It causes weakness and loss of muscle mass.
Chronic infections, depression, diabetes, metabolic disorders, hormonal disturbances, malignancy, HIV, etc needs to be ruled out.
You need to see your primary physician who will work with you to determine what's causing the weight loss and the best way to treat the problem. A physical exam and laboratory findings, such as blood and urine tests, X-rays or ultrasounds,CT scans or MRI scans may be necessary to find the cause of unintentional weight loss and determine treatment choices. You may need a special diet to prevent further weight loss or to regain lost pounds.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
