Brief Answer:
Considerations.

Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for sending the question.

A complete blood count will look at your total red blood cells, white blood cell and platelet counts. If each of these counts is low it might indicate some type of problem with your bone marrow.

The bone marrow is an organ located inside the bone which generates all of the blood cells which circulate through our system. there are many disorders which can cause dysfunction in normal bone marrow function.

your doctor might suggest that you see a hematologist who may review your blood cells under a microscope and might recommend a bone marrow biopsy. A biopsy will help your doctors understand if there is some type of dysfunction going on in your bone marrow and also to determine if you might need some type of treatment.

I would recommend that you follow up with your doctor and discuss whether you need to see a hematologist for for the evaluation.

Thank you again for sending the question.

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
