Question: I am having back ache very often when ever i am going out for vacation and stay in hotel otherwise there is no pain when ever i am back home, but there is much relief when i start moving/stand up while on vacation/outside. Therefore i need your advice for the same with the details for the same, as i am not travelling very long having sitting posture so what could be the cause with the same, what precautions/ointment shall i take.
Just for information i had sciatica pain around 2 years back during vacation and i could not sleep whole night for couple of days and had taken Ayurvedic medicines for the same.

Brief Answer:
Disc disease needs to be excluded.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms. The most likely cause of your symptoms is disc disease in the lower back (lumbar region). This causes pinching or compression of the nerves in that region.

The diagnosis and root cause can be confirmed by doing MRI of lumbo-sacral spine.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

Brief Answer:
My replies are below.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

The reason for the symptoms getting aggravated while on vacation could be: excess travel, change of posture while sitting or sleeping, change in climate/temperature, etc.

Disc is the soft tissue located in between vertebral bones in spine. Disc disease means slipping or bulging of the disc from the normal location and causing pressure on the nerves.
