As it is improving after you getting up and moving around this can be most likely due to mattress or sleeping position.
So what you should do is sleep on hard or firm mattress. Use orthopaedic pillow for neck and avoid high pillows. You can also use a pillow to keep under your knees if sleeping supine position. If side position then you can keep a pillow between knees. Avoid sleeping on stomach. Doing back muscle strengthening exercises daily is also good.
