What Causes Lower Right Abdominal Pain?
Question: Hi! Last night I developed lower right sided abdominal pain. It feels almost like a cramp that travels down my right leg but also sharp. Ive had this pain before on and off for the past 2 years and have had testing, check ups but nothing was found. For the past 6-7 months it was better and hasnt been this bad. I should mention that when this pain started yesterday- it is the second day of my menstrual cycle. Also when i sleep on my side the pain seems to dissapate which could signal its the herniated disk i have in my back which one of my doctors thinks. Could this be the case or is this pain due to my cycle? Thank you.

It can be due to periods also as at times there is an endometriosis spot on the attachments of ovary or uterus which can cause such a pain especially in periods and during ovulation.
Nothibg conclusive can be said but herniated disc can of course cause same symptoms.
Get an ultrasound done and also visit your orthopaedician for the same. For treatment just painkillers at the this time and rest targeted therapy after ultrasound and Ortho opinion
