What Causes Lumps And Rashes On Arms, Legs And Body?

Question: Hi. My wife went for a "body scrub" massage 2 days ago. It was done very roughly with a mixture of sugar, orange, coffee granules and lotion. It was painful during the treatment, like "peeling off my skin". About 24/30 hours later, many small lumps and rashes appeared on her arms, legs and body. A major rash then appeared on her butt and is very red. The rashes are not itchy, but the rash on the butt is sore to the touch (like a bruise).

Thanks for the query and photograph.
It is looking like allergic reaction. Probably due to excessive rubbing and use of various products.
I treat such cases with topical steroid cream like mometasone.
It gives good results within a week.

1. Is it OK to apply mometasone when breastfeeding?

2. Is there a variable strength on the med (e.g 1% / 0.1%) or is it a standard ointment?
