Brief Answer:
It may be venous ectasia or similar condition

Detailed Answer:
Hello

The swelling in the neck on one side which is venous and bulges when strained seems to be abnormal venous dilatation. From your clinical history I would like to rule out a condition called venous ectasia. It would be better if you have provided a picture.

Venous ectasia is a condition of childhood and is mostly benign. It is common or right side and does not need any treatment in most of the cases.

There may be other causes like laryngeal diverticula, dermoid cyst, thyroglossal cystcystic hygroma; but none of these is venous in origin. So possibility of venous ectasia is more.

I would suggest you to consult a physician for proper clinical evaluation and diagnosis. If it is venous ectasia you need not to worry as in most of the cases it is benign.
I would be glad to answer if you have more concerns.
Regards

It appears to be venous ectasia

Hello

Welcome again. I have seen the picture and it is very nicely taken photograph.
My assumption was right and for me it appears to be venous ectasia. You need not to worry as it has no significant complications.

I would suggest you to consult your physician for examination of other systems(cardiovascular, respiratory) and to get the diagnosis confirmed.
