What Causes Microscopic Hematuria?

Question: Am requesting new doc to please help - first doctor was nice but left me even more confused.

Went to urgent care yesterday because I had an OTC UTI test indicated possible UTI - was having slight burning sorta urgent need to use ladys room, turns out it is yeast infection / irritation. Still had slight bleeding from period when I left urine sample at UC.

Urinalysis came back and it indicates large (am guessing from the flag on the test - can you clarify that am attaching pic of lab work) amount of blood in urine. I also didn't realize the test was supposed to be clean catch till AFTER the fact and UC doc said "must be from end of period" and asked if I am drinking a lot (I am lots of cranberry juice, coffee and water). So, am trying to decide if I should forget about it (last blood work was fine - 3 weeks ago) and last urinalysis was normal - about 2 months ago (maybe less).

I visited Dr. Google (I KNOW, I KNOW) and am worried about it being something awful. The UC doc prescribed kelfex because I mentioned I had pain in my upper right back (not to doc but to person I was with) and he said "well, that tips it" and prescribed meds and a culture. This doc looked at lab work and told me it was negative at that time for infection. Culture won't be back till Monday or Tuesday - no pain, no fever, no more urgency. Have not started meds.

So, am wondering if this is something I need to be concerned about. Non smoker, non drinker, age 45, no family history, have had HUGE adenonmyosis issues (bleeding etc, now getting under control via XXXXXXX IUD) and had sonograms, blood work, multiple urinalysis over the past year. I am very health conscience but wondering if I jumped the gun and wishing like heck I would have bought the yeast infection test before going to UC!!! As now I've got a test that I'm 95% is showing blood because of period but that lingering 5% is making me a touch crazy. Thanks for reading and any help!! :-)

Brief Answer:
Nothing to be worried about .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query.

I have gone through the threads of discussion with other panelist on the forum of Health Care Magic and the urine report that you have posted .

Since you do not have symptoms like itching of the genitals which is typical of yeast infection I do not think that you have yeast infection either .The large blood reported in microscopic examination without any history of irritation and XXXXXXX hematuria is mostly due to contamination of urine with your menstrual blood while collecting urine sample .

Since you not have any urinary symptoms like burning ,urgency, pain etc and have already given urine sample for culture you can wait for 2 more days for results to come .There is nothing to be worried about

I think you are tensed and apprehensive too much for an issue which is not serious at all ,

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
