What Causes Mild Bleeding Post Dental Extraction?

Question: is it normal to still have some bleeding after a hard tooth extraction at 3 pm today. I have stitches also. Does applying pressure with the gauze on cause the bleeding as well.

Yes, you are right. There could be mild bleeding post extraction and post suturing too. This generally happens due to pressure on the raw wound. I hope the bleeding wasn't profuse? Please let me know.

you can apply cold packs/Ice/ice creams in that region.Please note that there should not be continuous bleeding, in that case you must see your dentist soon.

your dentist would have certainly given you post extraction instructions.So please follow them religiously to avoid any case of dry socket or infection.

your meals should be semisolid in nature so that extra chewing force is not applied on the raw wound.Also do not touch that area with your tongue.

thank you so much for your response. it's not bleeding profusely, but I find that one minute it is no blood, and then it starts ozzing again.
