What Causes Mild Pain In Ribs On Right Side?
Question: For the past week there's been a very slight pain over two or three of my ribs on the right side. It hardly hurts at all, only when I press over the area. I was using a foam roller in an exercise demonstration for the first time last Saturday when it rolled over that area. I didn't feel any pain until a few days later. Is this only a bruise (there's no discoloration), or is it something I should go to a doctor for? How long should I continue to see if it goes away.

I have studied your case. There can be two possibilities in your case. Either it can be a rib injury or a liver problem. Ribs injury causes pain during coughing and sneezing. Also when you will sleep on that side it will be painful. It heals in six weeks to two months. If you have same symptoms like I mentioned then you should take rest and avoid any exercises. Rarely it can be due to liver disease also.It can be confirmed by ultrasound. But on the basis of your history chances of this is very rare.
