Question: I am having very very mild pain which radiates from left arm to left neck to left shoulder to back.
Had similar issue 3 months ago and Doc suggested me a ECG and 2d ECHO.both reports were perfectly normal.I feel weak and head feels heavy. Don't feel like eating food and feels little vomiting. I generally have little constipation and my motion is not 100% clear.I do gym regularly and have no problem running on tread mill for 20 mins continuously, but when I climb stairs I feel out of breathe and I need 2 mins to regain it.Is there anything serious to look for? apart from these I dont have anything and lead a perfectly normal life
Brief Answer:
Could be related to cervical disc disease.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr XXXXXXX
I have noted your symptoms and investigation reports.
I would like to reassure you that it does not seem to be related to your heart as ECG and Echo are normal. Also, you are able to do treadmill for 20 minutes.
However, it could be related to disc bulging in the neck region, causing compression of nerves in the neck region (which radiates to the arms).
You can meet a neurologist for further evaluation.
I hope my reply has helped you.
I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.
Best wishes,

Can this also be related to acidity and gastric issue? As I dont feel the pain to be that serious as cervical disc disease and I am having constipation and dont feel like eating?
Brief Answer:
My reply is below.
Detailed Answer:
Gastric issue can cause gas, fullness of stomach, burning in stomach, chest pain, etc, however neck and arm pain does not occur with gastric issue.
If it is not serious, then, there is no need to worry.
You can do neck extension exercises.
Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir XXXXXXX MD DM (Neurology)
