What Causes Milky White Stuff In The Ear Canal?
Question: i was having Milky white stuff in ear canal before ear drum ((Doctor told me that he dont know what is that)... Doctor removed it...some part is left. he told me to use Montair FX , Phlogam tablets. and no need of follow up. any thing else needed .Pls suggest

Had I been your treating physician I would have cleaned the ear canal and advised Clotrimazole 1% ear drops (which is an over the counter medication) to be used the affected ear 3-4 times daily.
Besides using the above mentioned ear drops, keep the ear canal clean and dry, do not use any cotton buds, do not use any oil, avoid swimming till you are cured. Hope the suggestion given would be beneficial in getting rid of the "white stuff' in the ear canal.

After searching in Internet for ear drops , from last one day i am using OFLOX DROPS (OFLOXACIN),can i change it suddenly to Clotrimazole 1% ear drops ,if so for how many days i should use these drops. and any other tablets or medicines should i use, please suggest me complete procedure.

1. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic which is useful only in the treatment of infections caused by susceptible bacteria. It is not effective againist fungal infection.
2. Yes, you can use Clotrmiazole 1% drops as suggested earlier.
3. 3-4 drops to be used 3-4 times daily for at least 6-8 weeks.
4. At the moment these drops alone are sufficient.
