Question : I have about 10 bites on my legs, arms and one on my neck. they started looking like a mosquito bite then gradually grew bigger and flatter to point of looking like the size of a nickel. the bites then developed a light pink halo effect around them. the halos are still around each of the bites. it looks like a bulls' eye pattern. the bites themselves decreased in size and are no longer the size of a nickel. do I need to be concerned about the possibility of having lyme disease? I think I got these bites from a bad mattress.
Brief Answer:
Don't think related to lyme's disease, cortisone cream & benedryl
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at HealthcareMagic
I have gone through your complaints and don't think it to be related to lyme's disease.
Your history points towards the possibility of an insect bite reaction most likely mosquito bites or bed bug bites.
I would recommend you to apply cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily and continue with benedryl for itching.
