What Causes Mouth Ulcers After Sleeping Late?

Question: Whenever I sleep late, post 1am. I get mouth ulcers. I have hectic shedule so its hard to sleep early. Will u suggest something to solve this problem?

I have gone through your query, as you have mouth ulcers Yes it can be related to Stress and Anxiety , or due to Nutrional deficiency.(vitamin B , Iron )

There is nothing to worry XXXXXXX , firstly I will suggest you to Avoid taking Stress .

-Take proper sleep of Atleast 8 hours .

-Take proper nutritious diet , green leafy vegetables in your diet.

-You can Apply Anaesthesic ointment like Mucopain or Dologel two - three times a day for one week.

-You can take one Capsule Vitamin B supplements once daily for One week .

-Maintain proper oral hygiene use Chlorhexidine mouthwash twice daily.

About sleep, I take plenty of sleep/ at least 8 hrs. Normally I go to office late and come late. I do brush twice daily. About vegetables I eat lots of salad iceberg, lettuce, cucumber, carrot etc daily in lunch time. Also normally at least one time we have green vegetable for meal but mostly two times. The mouth ulcer story goes from my college days i.e. 10-11 years back and still continues in month at least one time. So I started drinking water(at least 1 liter) at night and got some help to reduce this but sometimes it does come back. Due to this there is lots of bad breath and some times my teeth starts paining.

I have gone through your query , glad to read about your diet plan it is good to see you are taking healthy diet ,as you have history of recurrent Ulcer this is known as Recurrent Apthous Stomatitis (RAS).

There is nothing to be worried XXXXXXX this RAS is seen in 40 percent of patients , RAS is seen in patients which involves some factors, like:
-Nutritional deficency (Vitamin B 6, B 12, Iron , Zinc , Folic Acid ) .
-Hormonal influences .
-Stress
- Local trauma (it can be due to hard bristles of toothbrush)
- Immunity (family history , immuno desregulation)

For this RAS I will suggest you dont take stress, Use soft bristle brush , Use chlorhexidine mouthwash for Bad breath.

Consult your doctor and take one Multivitamin supplement containing Vitamins B complex, cobalt , zinc , Folic acid. Once in a day for one month.

Consult dentist and go for Oral prophylaxis for pain in teeth .

Thank you doctor, I will surely take multivitamin table for a month. About bad breath and pain, I only get whenever I have ulcer but normally I dont get bad breath or teeth pain. So still I need to visit dentist or it just that once my ulcer is gone it should be fine?
