What Causes Movable Nodes In The Left Clavicle Area?

default
Posted on Fri, 8 Sep 2017
Question: I have a right small clavicle node ( confirmed on ultrasound 2 years ago) still there but is smaller and hasn't grown, I also have one at the base of my neck and then recently discovered 3 moveable small non tender nodes on my left clavicle area, these are in the hollow area. I'm extremely nervous and my appt is not until sept 14 with a general surgeon. These nodes are non tender as al I can feel atleast 6 in my neck clavicle area and they all feel the same, pea size or a little larger extremely moveable and firm, I also have no other symptoms. I'm a single mother and terrified.

Brief Answer:
Lymphnode

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking
In my opinion you should not be concerde

Findings from Dutch study revealed annual incidence of unexplained lymphadenopathy in the general population.Nodes are generally considered to be normal if they are up to 1 cm in diameter

An increase in nodal size on serial examinations is significant. Nodes that continue to grow in size are important and those that regress in size tend to be more
reassuring.
If the enlarggement persists after a period of observation then the patient should seek medical attention which may require further investigations using ultrasonography and fine needle aspiration cytology or an excisional biopsy.
