Hi, I think I got bit by something but it may be a rash. Yesterday it itched but it no longer does. Its a small red section with alot of bumps that have whiteheads that do pop. Also its on my neck and under the skin close to the rash is a bump that is sore like a swollen lymph node but it is on the back of my neck under the trapezoid muscle.
Itchy red rash on the neck may be due to some insect bite that is causing infection to spread, hence you are experiencing itching, bumps, swollen lymph nodes and allergic reaction. You are suggested to keep the area of the neck affected clean, do not scratch, pick or touch it.
You can apply ointment hydrocortisone on it, ointment Soframycin / Neomycin are equally effective. Take antihistamines to reduce the inflammation and swelling. It should get controlled in 24-48 hours. If not, you may need a course of antibiotics(amoxycillin). Get clinically examined by a GP.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
