Brief Answer:
Can be mild nerve root irritation.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The muscle spasms in the hip after the surgery can be due to mild nerve root irritation. This can be related to arthritis also. You can do a hot compress and get some oral muscle relaxants prescribed to decrease the spasms. Regular physiotherapy and stretching exercises will also help.
I hope this answers your query.
