Question: Hello! Someone who I know has been taking 150mg MDMA tonight and has now experienced a muscle twitch in his arm for about 2 hours when trying to sleep. Seems to not get worse or better, what can be done about this?" - She almost falls asleep with less twitching now but still occurs. Breathing seems very shallow

It is not worsening that is good.

MDMA 150 mg will take about 24 hours to clear completely from the blood. Half-life of MDMA is 7-9 hours. It is excreted in urine so ask him to drink more water or fruit juice. He should be fine within 4-5 hours I guess as soon as peak level in blood comes down.

OTC paracetamol or ibuprofen can be used if muscle twitching is uncomfortable. For sleep benzodiazepine like ativan or klonopin can be used but it is prescription drug and you need to consult doctor for the same.

In conclusion if he is improving just wait and watch he will be ok. If symptoms persist for more than 4 hours with same severity or worsen please go to ER for help.
