What Causes Nasal Bleeding During 15th Week Of Pregnancy?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: Hi,
We are expecting a baby in 2017 and my wife is currently pregnant for 15+ weeks.
Since last week, she is experiencing blood from nose at times.
This can be flowing blood at very slow pace for a minute or so. Otherwise this can be in dry form inside the nose.
Can you please advise, if this could be related to pregnancy at this stage or a different problem?
Thanks,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
Unrelated to pregnancy.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to HCM. This bleeding from nose seems unrelated to pregnancy. It must be due to local pathology or trauma due to picking of nose. .If you have some reports then please upload on the forum so i can see them . Regards Dr Manisha Jain.

Hello,
Thanks for quick response. There has been no picking of nose and never happened in life until this pregnancy (1st trimester).
I referred to general forums like below, which does indicate on similar behaviour.

Appreciate, if you can advise that there is nothing like this ever happens for any pregnancy and completely ruled this out.

Brief Answer:
ENT examination advised
Detailed Answer:
It is common after picking of nose generally but if there is no such history then in my opinion she needs examination of the nose from inside by ENT specialist to see if there is anything which is resulting in repeated bleeding.
Also get a complete blood count and BT/CT test to see for the systemic reason of bleeding if at all.
Don't take it lightly and get it examined
