Question: My husband had two jar teeth pulled the other day everything went fine but now he has to use his fingers to pinch his nose to inhale a cigeratte. He can even sit there & take a breath in through his nose when just talking & you can hear him breath. What is the problem?

Brief Answer: Need further information... Detailed Answer: Hi, From what I understand he has developed nasal obstruction after tooth extraction. He does not have symptoms of headache or pain. Does he? Based on your description I assume he has developed nasal congestion which may be from infective or allergic causes. Possibilities of sinus obstruction cannot be excluded. In all probabilities, I don't think this has anything to do with teeth extraction procedure. I would like to know what other symptoms does he have: 1. Does he have sorethroat / pain while swallowing? 2. Does he have a stuffy nose / nasal discharge - if yes may I know the color of discharge? 3. Is he running fever? 4. Does he have generalised bodyaches, weakness, low appetite? He can try steam inhalation and see if it feels better. Hope to hear from you soon. Regards
