What Causes Nasal Swelling With Discharge And High Fever?

My name is XXXXXXX I am a 39yo female that uses nasal oxygen. I have swelling and drainage along the midline INSIDE my nose, that has gotten worse. Until late last night the drainage was mostly clear, but very gelatinous. Today I have a HORRIBLE taste along the back of my tongue, I've spiked a low-grade fever(100.3), and the drainage is now a milky white and looks like it has bubbles in it. Please tell me what this could possibly be and how to get rid of it! I also just feel run-down in general today. Thanks so much for ANY guidance that anyone decides to help me with.
Most likely a bacterial infection!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this drainage that you have reported. I have reviewed the information fully. The symptoms and description of the symptoms are highly suggestive of a bacterial infection. You will need antibiotics to address this disease condition fully. Unfortunately, these cannot be obtained over the counter and I will like you to talk to your doctor to obtain a script for this. A short term course of tylenol for fever and pains relief would be helpful as well. Let me know how it goes with your doctor on this.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Bubbles most likely caused by oxygen!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this follow up.
Yes, your change in symptoms makes a bacterial infection more likely. However, the bubbles might be explained by the oxygen you use intranasally rather than a sign of a bacterial infection.
I wish you well.

God Bless!
God bless, too!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for your kind words.
God bless and keep you safe. Bubbles, mean air and most likely in the case of thick mucus. You will not see this is light drainage. It could be either ways but less likely to be an infection.
Best wishes and keep me posted on your progress.
