Posted on Thu, 26 Mar 2015
Question: I went on a low carb diet. I don't know if my illness has anything to do with it but here they are: nausea, racing heart, dizziness, shakiness and over all feeling of tiredness. This has been going on for about 4 days with some times of feeling better. Can you give me some ideas as to what could be wrong?

Brief Answer:
There is nothing to be worried.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back,

Are you doing XXXXXXX under consultation of a good and experienced trainer?

Sometimes when we are not taking much carbs and our food is concentrated with proteins,

We have to take care while working out because there is no carb for immediate energy production, so sudden aggressive activities can't be done,

Some experts say that one can use immediate energy producing carbohydrates just for the workout time and some advocate specially devised exercises which do not require burst of energy.

I want to assure you that your symptoms are due to low energy intake and probable low water intake as well, I would suggest you to do your diet under a good expert and do only suggested workouts during this time, and talk about other possible options like short acting energy boosting carbs etc.

There is nothing to be worried but things are to be dealt with ,properly with care and expert guidance.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!

Regards.

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad.
