What Causes Neck Pain After Falling On Tail Bone?

Question: My 6yr old son fell on his tailbone on the ground (just a couple inches down from a wobbly balance beam) and now he is complaining about neck pain, particularly when is looking up. This happened around 11am Est. He struggled turning his head left and right but the pain seems to have alleviated a bit; now 7:15pm est it's just the looking up that's bothering him . Should I be immediately worried?
Brief Answer:
There is no cause for concern
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
It's likely that he sustained neck sprain due to transmitted force through tail bone. In the absence of loss of consciousness and persistent vomiting there is no cause for concern.
I would suggest you the following
1. Hot water fomentation
2. Analgesic like Ibuprofen may provide much needed relief.
In case you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.
Take care
