What Causes No Bleeding After Stopping Progynova?

Question: i have been taking progynova as my estradiol levels were very high and the doctor prescribed it to me before doing IVF. I have stopped taking progynova for 7 day break to get my period. i am getting a white/ yellowish discharge. Is this normal? How many days after you stop taking progynova does one usually get menstrual cycle?

Brief Answer: AS BELOW Detailed Answer: Hello Thanks for writing to us with your health concern. Progynova is not given to induce a menstrual bleed. For reliably inducing a period, progesterone tablets are used. Once you stop progynova, there is no guarantee of a withdrawal bleed. If the uterine lining has grown thick enough, you need to take progesterone to induce a withdrawal bleed. Take care. Please feel free to discuss further.
