What Causes Nodule At The Incision Site Of Arthroscopic Surgery?
Question: I had arthroscopic surgery 7 days ago for a torn meniscus. Now on one of the insicion sites there is a nodule that looks like a marble is under the skin. No pain associated this at all. SHOULD I BE CONCERNED?
Brief Answer:
Most likely non serious;Needs observation
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. The lesion needs just observation as it is not associated with any sign of infection like redness, pain and is not warm to touch?
Most likely it is the healing scar at the site of incision.
My suggestion is to continue with anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen along with trypsin and chymotrypsin for early resorption of marble like swelling.
Hope this answers your query and I shall be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
