What Causes Numbness At Tip Of The Tongue?
Further evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I can understand your concern.
1. The most common reason for numbness is nerve damage. It may be within the brain - ischemic lesion / demyelinating lesion or the peripheries such as facial nerve disorder. Contrarily, the numbness may be due to oral conditions and even related to anxiety. If you had history of dental extraction, root canal treatment, these all can cause nerve damage. Since you have not reported history of dental procedures, the cause may be related on any of the above mentioned conditions.
I would refer you to a neurologist immediately if numbness progress to involve other areas of the face or if you develop facial dropping / limb weakness. If there are no fresh complaints, I would start you on vitamin b12 supplement and advice you watch the progress for the next few days.
2. About baking soda
Sodium carbonate, yes it has benefits like it can prevent formation kidney stones by decreasing acidity of urine. However since it has sodium in it, I do not recommend it to my patients with kidney failure. Moreover it has sodium which can be detrimental if you have history of high blood pressure.
3. Yes, taking fiber contains food will help in lowers creatinine.
People with kidney diseases should take food which contains less protein, less sodium(fast food, cheese, salt ,pickle, canned food), less potassium(tomatoes, potatoes, oranges, nuts), these diet will help you to reduce your creatinine levels.
Hope I have answered you question.
If you have any queries I will be happy to help you.
Thank you.
