Question: I had written about two weeks ago because I had a fall and hit my left brow region on concrete. I was concerned because I had no movement of my left forehead. Now I have horizontal movement but no vertical movement to lift brow etc..... Is this going to be permanent or how long is it known to heal.. It is as though my upper trigeminal nerve is without motor ability yurt sensory is in. My eye is starting to shrivel compared to the other. Not sure what to expect.
Brief Answer:
Takes little over a month for normalcy
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for query and I checked the pictures.
I find the pictures are fine and do not indicate any abnormality.
Regarding your vertical movements, it is assisted by a muscle called levator palpebrae/occipito frontalis. These are facial muscles innervated by facial nerve the same nerve which assist horizontal movement.
So if they could restore the horizontal movement they should definitely restore the vertical movement as well. It takes some time, close to one month post injury.
I think you just have to wait and watch than being anxious about it.
All the best.
