What Causes Numbness In Leg When Suffering From Arthritis In Spine?
Question: I TAKE MULTIPLE MEDS. I HAVE RA. FIBROMYLGIA, OSTEOPOROSIS, DIABETIC NEUROPATHY IN FEET, I HAVE HAD AN MRI ON MY BACK IN DEC. SHOWED A LOT OF ARTHRITIS IN MY SPINE. OVER THE LAST FEW WEEKS I HAVE BEEN GETTING SOME NUMBESS OR A COLD FEELING IN MY LEFT LEG AND AROUND THE ELBOW AREA OF MY LEFT ARM AT THE SAME TIME, SOMETIMES ONLY LASTS A FEW SECONDS, LATELY IT MAY LAST FOR 10 OR 15 MIN. THEN GOES AWAY AND MAY COME BACK AGAIN LATER. IT SEEMS TO BE EVERY DAY NOW. BEFORE I WOULD HAVE IT ONE DAY AND NOT ANOTHER.

I have noted your symptoms and based on that, we need to exclude TIA (transient ischemic attack). In TIA, the blood supply to a part of brain gets reduced leading to symptoms for a short duration. If left untreated, it may lead to brain stroke in future.
You should get evaluated by a doctor. Use of aspirin tablets could be very useful in this condition.

I know this is off the topic but can you please tell me what is the difference between regular brand med. and it's generic brand. I am told nothing but with a huge price difference there has to be something. are side effects any greater with the generic ??

Original brands are sold by drug company that does research on that particular medicine and are the first one to launch the medicine in the market. Since a lot of money is spent on doing drug research, all that is factored in the cost, making them expensive.
Generic medicines on the other hand are made by companies that have not spent a XXXXXXX on the research, and just copy the tehnology of drug making used by the original company. So, that explains the extremely low costs of generics. This can be done once patent has expired.
