What Causes Obstruction In Throat While Swallowing Food?
Question: I feel some obstruction in my throat while swallowing food. What may be the problem.
Above problem also exist during early mornings even while not taking food

This feeling of obstruction while swallowing food could be either due to some throat irritation or esophagitis but I will need more information for further comments.
Do you have sore throat or pain during swallowing?
Fever or any other symptoms?
Since how many days you are feeling some obstruction in throat?
Any OTC medications taken?
However,this type of feeling could also be temporary and may get subsided by itself without any treatment.

There is no pain or sore in the throat but it appears to me that I am applying some force (very little) while swallowing. I didn't suffer from fever for over 15 years' but I am diabetic for last four years using insulin(mixtard) 20 units each in the morning and night and cetanin XR 1000 tablet
I have been feeling this inconvenience for last one year, but I have not consulted any doctor expecting that it may get subsided .
There is no pain or sore in the throat but it appears to me that I am applying some force (very little) while swallowing. I didn't suffer from fever for over 15 years' but I am diabetic for last four years using insulin(mixtard) 20 units each in the morning and night and cetanin XR 1000 tablet

If you are facing this problem from last 1 year,then it would be advisable to see an ENT specialist who can do pharyngoscopy to rule out chances of inflammation, swelling or rarely over growth or small tumor in throat.
Without clinical examination, nothing can be said much regarding underlying cause.
However, it does not looks to be some serious issue but it is always better to be concerned.
