It is a thining of bone density before it progresses to oseoporosis, but it may predispose to fractures.
Happen in woman in menopause in general, and is diagnosed by a dexa scan who measures the density of the bone.
I noticed you are taking Vit D which together with calcium is the treatment of oseopenia. Chondoitine and glucosamime are good for your joints too, but to take effect need to get used more then 6 months.
