Question: I have painful and burning under my beard - it's short. The skin is red and warm. Ears are itchy and flake. All fingers are broken out on the skin below the nail. the nail is ok. Also itchy and painful. Some small rashes on thighs. Cheeks are swollen. I took prednizone and an antibiotic for 6 days for a sinus infection and it cleaned everything up. About 4 days after finishing the meds it started coming back.

Hi,

Frankly I do not answer many skin related question on this forum; but your symptoms are concerning to me. You have painful, burning and itchy symptoms spread across the face, hands and thighs. You have also been on antibiotic recently for sinus infection. This makes me believe that you probably have a drug induced reaction.

Pencillin group of drugs which are commonly prescribed for sinus infection are strongly associated with such drug induced reactions. I recommend that you visit a doctor at the earliest. If feasible visit the ER or urgent care clinic and get this sorted.
