Question: Hi, I have knee pain that is getting progressively worse, with numbness from my knee upward to my gluts. I had my r kee scoped last November for loose particles, the doc said he had to shave the worn bone down to clean it up, now the pain is worsening, in fact I was relatively pain free before. After the scope during the follow up he said probably need replacement. What now, I feel like I should have left it alone.

Hello,
I have studied your case. Pain in knee at 60 years of age is mostly knee arthritis. As you have already tried arthroscopy so only option left is knee replacement. Arthroscopy some time increases pain in knee arthritis. I have following suggestions for you.
1.Avoid squatting and sitting cross leg.
2. Physiotherapy
3.Hot water fomentation and volini gel local application
4.Brufen if pain is severe.
